Formación al personal con el equipo del Ministerio de Salud

El Hermano Michael nos ha enviado información sobre los nuevos planes de formación para el personal sanitario y nos cuenta lo importante que será este tema para fortalecer el conocimiento de todos los aspectos de la protección y de la eficacia en el triaje de los pacientes sospechosos. También os daremos una buena noticia en cuanto a alguna cooperación conseguida para ayudar en la lucha contra el ébola.

Greetings from Sierra Leone. I have attached the schedule programme of the training we are conducting now for our staff. We realized that there are still some serious gaps that we need to orientate our staff especially with the triaging of patients. We believe again that this situation will not be the first and the last, so we need to get our staff well armed during this short shut down of the hospital.

This is one of the activities we are implementing as I mentioned in my last email to you recently.

The Hospital is willing to serve the public but there are other structures that needs to be in place which are beyond our control.

There is no Ebola rapid lab test, no Ebola Care centre or Holding centre,. Then the question arise, where do we send patients identified with Fever of all categories? How can we differentiate them? It will be risky for the hospital even if we are well trained.
